Navigating NYC Airspace & Why Local Expertise Matters
New York City is one of the most heavily regulated drone environments in the United States. Drone operators cannot simply show up and fly. Flights require FAA authorization in most of the city, and additional permissions may be required from the NYPD, Parks Department, or building management, depending on the location. Unauthorized drone operations can result in significant fines and create liability exposure for the property owner or brokerage.
